Since joining the FIRST community in 2024, Lightning Machines has grown through teamwork, challenge, and a lot of learning.
Some of our members participated in FIRST before 2024, but this is when we began our journey together as a team. Every season has helped us grow, learn, and accomplish more together.
Our first challenge as a team was the Submerged season in FIRST Lego League. We demonstrated the FIRST Core Values of Discovery, Innovation, Inclusion, Impact, Teamwork, Fun, and Gracious Professionalism, earning the Core Values Award and advancing to the Qualifiers.
Moving from FLL to FTC gave us many more opportunities to learn and grow. In our rookie season, we improved our robot, held many outreach activities, and raised more than $1.7K.
Our hard work and dedication continued at our second FTC competition, where we earned the 2nd Place Think Award. We are proud of how far we have come and excited to keep learning, improving, making memories, and having fun together.
